This is my ideal post-work out smoothie. In case you didn’t know…I work out. If you don’t tell people, then they won’t know to congratulate you on it.
Anyway. It’s loaded with potassium and magnesium which aids the body in recovery after all those gains. Also, hydrating and tropical, you are sure to feel like one refreshed fitspo queen. Or just drink it while you watch Mediterranean Life on Hulu and skip the workout, I do that a lot too.
2 Frozen Bananas (Frozen bananas are best for a creamier consistency, especially if you prefer to eat yours in a bowl vs. with a straw. They are perfect companions for morning smoothies or post-workout because all the fiber makes them feel more filling. Hot Tip: if you’re experiencing anxiety reach for a banana before anything else. The magnesium in them is calming and it’s a trick I picked up working morning shifts at a busy juice bar back in the day. It really works.)
1 Ruby Red Grapefruit (Grapefruit is loaded with vitamin C and antioxidants, perfect for an immunity boost to fight off harmful bacteria and viruses. Super hydrating.)
Coconut Milk-use as much or as little as you like (Can reduce inflammation and adds a smooth, tropical twist.)
Top with shredded coconut. O baby.
