Dry & Disorderly is committed to giving back ten percent of proceeds to organizations that aid people in recovery or serve communities disproportionally affected by addiction. Your contribution goes to helping find rehabilitation, work, housing, and anything needed in transitioning back into the outside world. Sometimes, these organizations focus solely on providing an opportunity for a better life via education, career growth, legal fees and healthcare. We understand these things have a direct impact on the role addiction has in our lives.
Every other month, a new organization is chosen. This November and December, D&D has chosen Partnership with Native Americans.
“PWNA serves 60 reservations in 12 states throughout the Northern Plains and Southwest regions of the United States. We focus on underserved and geographically-isolated Native American communities with limited employment opportunities, addressing both immediate needs and working towards long-term solutions.”
“We build upon assets within the communities we serve, bringing together individuals, programs and outside resources to address challenges and support positive change. This community-driven model leverages the social capital of a larger network mobilizing toward a common solution.”
Just a few great things PWNA does:
PWNA furnishes essential school supplies for more than 28,000 K-12 students on 25+ reservations
Health screenings for diabetes, high blood pressure tuberculosis and cancer
Supplies food boxes for food pantries and individual families
Provide stockings for more than 50,000 children, teens and elders during the holidays
Provides emergency services for natural disasters.
There is so much more they do to support the Native American community and I encourage you to check out their website to learn more and get involved. As always, D&D encourages you to donate directly to this organization if possible.
